Arrowhead Is Looking At One Destiny Feature For Helldivers 3

While Helldivers 2 is a live-service game that’s best played with friends or online acquaintances, there is one thing missing from the game that something even the original Destiny had in 2014.

This is a social hub like the Tower, where players can interact with people in the game—even those not in the same party.

Arrowhead seems to be aware that the game needs something like this, though, based on what they just shared, don’t expect it to be available in Helldivers 2.

While Arrowhead hasn’t made any official announcement regarding a social hub for Helldivers 2, the studio’s CEO, Shams Jorjani, recently answered a fan on Reddit and said that this is something they’re looking to do for Helldivers 3!

In case Reddit isn’t loading for you, Jorjani states, “It’s on the feature list for the next one.” Mind you, Arrowhead hasn’t even said a word about Helldivers 3, so this is far off in the future. Arrowhead is nowhere near done supporting Helldivers 2, and the devs have said they have plans for the game for “the next few years.”

Given the PS5’s lifecycle, I wouldn’t be surprised if Helldivers 3 is something planned for the PS6, or perhaps Sony will release it on PS5 and the PS6.

With Helldivers 2’s success, it’s a no-brainer that Sony and Arrowhead have plans for a third game in the franchise. Even if it’s not announced yet, you can bet Arrowhead has ideas cooking up for it already.

Regardless of when we’ll actually see Helldivers 3 see the light of day, don’t be surprised to see the game feature a social hub of some kind implemented by the developers. Let’s face it, with the game’s multitude of emotes, capes, and whatnot, it’s something players would want to show off with their fellow helldiver.
