Best Charms & How to Get Them

0

Mafia: The Old Country is a fairly linear game, but that doesn’t mean there are no secrets to be found. One of the most notable secrets are hidden charms, items that you can equip to grant Enzo a buff in and out of combat.

While there are 32 charms scattered throughout the game, not all of them are worth it. Instead, you should focus on finding the best charms available to improve each field, such as survivability, combat, healing, stealth, and duels.

If you want to make sure you have the upper hand in Mafia: The Old Country, this guide is for you. Here are the best charms in the game and where to find them.

Sant’Agata: Best Charm for Survivability

The Sant’Agata charm is one of the best charms in the game due to its ability to grant you a period of invulnerability when close to death.

There are some combat encounters that can be really challenging, and since it doesn’t take many shots to die, the Sant’Agata charm can be a real lifesaver.

Luckily, players won’t have to look too hard to find the Sant’Agata charm. It can be found in Chapter 1, on the desk in Enzo’s room when getting ready for the ceremonial dinner. The desk is located right next to the dresser.

Fantasma: Best Charm for Stealth

Fantasma is the best charm to use for stealth encounters since it dampens the sound of your footsteps.

Having this helpful charm equipped will allow you to execute silent takedowns more frequently and have an easier time completing objectives that require Enzo to go undetected.

Players can find the Fantasma charm in Chapter 4, after completing the chase sequence and rescuing Isabella.

After the cutscene, you will enter a bandit camp, where your objective is to rescue Gennaro Fontanella. The Fantasma charm can be found right when you gain control of Enzo, resting on a rock next to the wooden fence.

Caricato: Best Charm for Combat

Caricato is one of the best charms to your arsenal as it grants you a greater capacity of rifle ammo. This means you’re allowed to carry more ammo for your rifle, making it so you don’t have to loot ammo boxes and corpses as much as before.

This is extremely helpful for any gun, but especially beneficial when it comes to the rifle. It’s hands down the best gun in the game due to its ability to deal high damage at long range, so the more ammo the better.

Players can find the Caricato charm in Chapter 5 of Mafia: The Old Country when infiltrating Ludovici’s estate.

The charm can be found in the large mansion, when your objective is “Enter Ludovici’s villa.” It is found on the large black table in the hallway leading to Ludovici’s room.

Preparato: Best Charm for Healing

When it comes to healing, the Preparato charm is the best option. Preparato enables you to carry more bandages, allowing you to heal more often during combat instead of having to search frantically to find more.

I was going to choose Medicale for best healing, which increases the speed of applying bandages, but enemies rarely ever get close to you while you’re behind cover, so you already have plenty of time to heal. Preparato providing extra bandages is more beneficial.

The good news is that Preparato can be purchased at any time from Pasquale’s store; the location is shown in the image attached. The Preparato charm costs 750 gold.

Fortezza: Best Charm for Duels

There are a ton of duels in Mafia: The Old Country, so it’s best to come prepared with a proper charm. The Fortezza charm offers you some protection against harm during duels, making each fight easier and increasing your chances of success.

Similar to Preperato, the Fortezza charm can be purchased from Pasquale’s store whenever you please. However, it goes for a high asking price of 1200 gold, so make sure you are looting enemies to get the right amount.
