Chests in Granblue Fantasy: Relink comes in all shapes and sizes, from Wooden to Silver to Gold and more. While most of these chests don’t require a key to open, some do. Without the appropriate key, opening these chests is impossible. Rarer chests contain spellbooks, weapon upgrade materials, mastery points, and even powerful sigils to beef up your characters.

Keen explorers will encounter a chest that requires a Whitewing Key to open fairly early on in the game. Right from the intro chapter, in fact. Looking for the Whitewing Key in-game is a fruitless task as it doesn’t drop from side quests, unlike the Gold and Silver Keys. Here is how to find it.

How To Get Whitewing Key
The Whitewing Key can only be obtained after players clear the main story of the game and then go on to complete Chapter 0: Skybound Heart.
The key is a reward for completing Chapter 0 and can be used to open all Whitewing Chests in Folca and Seedhollow. The Maniac difficulty also gets unlocked after you complete Chapter 0 and finish Id’s storyline.
All Whitewing Chest Locations
There are three Whitewing Chests in total, one in Folca and two in Seedhollow. You’ll be able to find all of them by the time you reach Chapter 6, but opening them only becomes possible in the post-game.
Whitewing Chest #1
Look towards the large white church and you’ll notice a small arch directly to its right. Go through the arch and turn left. The chest is hidden behind the trees and bushes hugging the wall of the church.
Whitewing Chest #2
This chest can be found in the street directly to the left of the red-carpeted stairs leading towards the Palace’s entrance. You’ll recognize the street by a large white arch at its end being guarded by a lone knight. Make your way towards the archway and keep an eye on the right. The Whitewing Chest is sitting on the doorstep of one of the houses. Two NPCs are standing directly in front of it.
Whitewing Chest #3
From the location of Whitewing Chest #2, you’ll notice a street turning left just ahead. Take the street, and you’ll see two NPCs crouching down at the end of the street. The third Whitewing Chest is sitting directly to their left.
