You Won’t Want To Miss TGS 2025 If You’re A SEGA Fan
With Tokyo Game Show 2025 set to take place later this month, this marks one of the last major video game trade shows of the year. Just like with Summer Game Fest, gamescom and other big shows, gamers will be expecting major announcements at the show.
While we don’t know what’s going to be revealed, SEGA is ready to bring the goods, as the company has promised to reveal a slew of games at the show.
Compared to most companies that hide that they have an announcement, SEGA is going at it the opposite way, as the publisher has basically confirmed they are revealing new stuff at the show.
SEGA Has Multiple Game Reveals Planned At TGS 2025
On SEGA of Japan’s TGS 2025 website (thanks, Kami!), it lists the games the company is showing at the event, and there are four “coming soon” blank cards.
While there is a chance that this is something previously announced, it wouldn’t make sense to hide what these games are, would it? Could we be seeing an announcement for a Metaphor ReFantazio sequel? Maybe a new Sonic game? The possibilities are endless, given SEGA’s wide range of franchises at its disposal.
Not only that, but maybe there’s a chance the rumored Netflix-like subscription service will be revealed at the show? It’s highly unlikely, but you never know, and SEGA is a Japanese company, so any major announcements, they’d probably want to do it on their home turf.
Tokyo Game Show 2025 kicks off on September 25 and will run until September 27. Expect other big-name video game companies to be present, though there are no promises that more reveals are planned.
Given SEGA’s quality of releases, which is so impressive that the company made Metacritic history, we’re definitely hyped to see what gets revealed. Just be ready that there is a chance that some of these reveals could be niche games that are only planned for release in Japan.
What are you hoping SEGA reveals at TGS 2025?
